Olympic Weightlifting primarily uses two lifts – The Snatch and the Clean & Jerk.

Because of the explosive nature, sheer strength and mobility required, when properly executed Olympic lifts are one of the most powerful things any human being can do. Here at CrossFit Blackburn we use these lifts in order to train explosively and functionally for strength and power.

Our Beginners Olympic lifting class is a great class to help you get started with Oly Lifting. Learn the various techniques of the snatch and clean & jerk and get a great workout while you’re at it.

Whether you’d like to be a competitive weight lifter or just improve your O lifting so that you can sail through the WOD faster and safer, then this class is definitely the one to do!
